New FavIcon Generator Launched at favikon.com
I love it when someone launches a tool that does one thing well and on Monday, Cory S.N. La Viska, of A Beautiful Site did just that.
Online favicon generators are nothing new, but favikon.com is clean, simple and has the nice feature of being able to select and crop the area of your graphic that you want used as the icon.
For those of you that don’t know, favicon stands for favourites icon. They are the little square logos that appear in the address bar of your browser when you visit a site that has a favicon. They are great for branding and building recognition of your site.
They also appear in your favourites / bookmarks, history and in tabs when browsing with multiple windows open. In short, they just add a bit of polish to your site and are very easy to implement.
