WidgetBucks Publishers Losing Money

I’ve noticed that some web site publishers are still using the old WidgetBucks code to display ads on their web site. I can tell this because I live outside of North America and instead of traditional banner ads, I see the widget showing me a range of products at different prices.

Because I’m outside of North America, if I click on the widget I’m taken to Mpire’s website and the web site owner earns nothing for the click.

WidgetBucks changed their payment system last month (December 07) so that visitors from outside of North America would see a banner ad instead of a product widget. Instead of being paid per click for these ads, the publisher is paid a specific amount per 1000 ad impressions. So visitors such as myself should never see a widget on a site now, just banner ads.

So if you didn’t update the code for any WidgetBucks advertising that you have on your web site you are missing out on earnings.
