Adobe AIR on Tour Brussels Buzz
My vision is blurred having watched people present thousands of lines of JavaScript at the Adobe AIR on Tour in Brussels today. Too much code, not enough strategic overview for me but an enjoyable day nonetheless.
The top highlights were:
1. the venue. Super cool video walls.
2. Dion Almaer of Google/Ajaxian giving a(n unannounced) strategic overview of how he sees Google Gears fitting in with and complementing Adobe AIR. He also indicated that Google would be making a cloud/utility computing related announcement tomorrow.
3. Nicolas Leirman giving a sneak preview of what’s to come in their version 1 release of the Google Analytics Suite. Some very interesting stuff there…
4. AIR is going mobile.
5. AIR apps sell.
